Port Blair, Feb 28: As part of the celebration of National Science Day, a befitting programme was organized by the Science Centre today in its campus. The Day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect by an eminent Scientist, Sir CV Raman. The theme for this year's celebration was 'Global Science for Global wellbeing'. The Secretary Science & Technology/ Vice Chairman, Science Centre, A&N Administration, Shri Aman Gupta, IAS was the chief guest on the occasion. The Secretary, Executive Council, Science Centre, Dr. Utpal Sharma, students and parents were also present on the occasion.

Port Blair, Feb 28: Due to technical reasons, the announced schedule of the vessel Sindhu for Chennai on March 4, 2023 at 1000 hrs from Port Blair has been postponed to March 5, 2023. Now, the vessel will sail for Chennai on March 5, 2023 at 1000 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on March 9, 2023 at 1600 hrs from Chennai Port.

Port Blair, Feb 28: The Zonal Anthropological Museum, Anthropological Survey of India, Andaman and Nicobar Regional Centre, Port Blair will be open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30 am to 5 pm with immediate effect from 1st March 2023.
