Port Blair, Oct. 6: In a heart-warming display of solidarity, the Police Station Rangat conducted a fundraising campaign to gather funds for the donation for an aggrieved family who lost their house and their only son Akash Mondal on 13/09/2023 due to fall of huge tree. The campaign received overwhelming support from all police personnel, with many coming forward to contribute to this noble cause. Through their collective efforts, Police Station Rangat was able to provide a significant contribution to alleviate the financial burdens faced by Shri Swapan Mondal R/o Sitapur, Rangat. He along with his family is residing at Sitapur Rangat and a labour by profession. This gesture of goodwill from Police Station Rangat not only relieves his immediate financial stress but also reaffirms the strong bond between the Police department and the community it serves.

Port Blair, Oct. 6: Acting on a specific intelligence input received from reliable source, Police team from Central Crime Station intercepted one person namely Tanmay Nayak S/o Shri Gunsindhu Nayak, (29)yrs R/o Bali Madhyapara Bally Hathkhola, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal presently residing at Garacharma who arrived from Kolkata on 05/10/2023 by flight. During checking of his personal belongings, 106 grams of Ganja which was clandestinely concealed in the bag was seized and accused person was arrested observing all codal formalities.

Pot Blair, Oct. 6: A five days in-service Training-cum-Workshop for the SHWA (School Health & Wellness Ambassadors) under AB-SHWP (Ayushman Bharat-Health & Wellness Programme) of the GTTs, PETs and PGTs of Govt./ Govt. Aided Upper-Primary, Secondary and Sr. Secondary Schools of Port Blair Municipal area of South Andaman District was organized from Sept. 25 to 30, 2023 at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, School Line by the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration

Port Blair, Oct. 6: Passengers/general public have been informed that, keeping in view, under-utilization of the ferry service, the Directorate of Shipping Services has decided to withdraw the recently announced daily schedule from Swaraj Dweep to Rangat via Long Island w.e.f. 09.10.2023.

Port Blair, Oct. 6: The following vehicles which were seized in connection with the various cases registered at Police Station, Rangat are kept lying for disposal in the premises of Police Station since long. The registered owners/purchased owner or the person from whom the vehicles was seized has not released their vehicles so far despite several notices served to them.
