Port Blair, March 14: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration to schedule Ships for Car Nicobar Island via Hut Bay twice a month.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that due to the non-availability of ships for Car Nicobar via Hut Bay, a lot of people from Nicobari Community are unable to visit Car Nicobar to meet their family members and relatives during family functions/rituals as well as festivals.

Port Blair, March 14: In an outstanding performance by a remote government school in South Andaman, the Government Model Sr. Sec. School, Hutbay bagged the second position in the ‘Fit India Quiz 2022’ leaving behind private schools of the state. The quiz competition was held on 13th March 2022 through online mode in which schools including Navy Children School (NCS) and Carmel Sr. Sec. School had participated.

Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas and discussed progress of 15 MWhr Battery Energy Storage System in A&N Islands. A&N Administration is committed to attain the objective of De-Dieselization and to improve renewable energy scenarios in the Islands.
