Port Blair, Oct. 25: There are few heroic warriors among us who had fought many odds in life and today they are our society's "Knights in the shining armour". These people from common background rose to their prominent positions with consistent perseverance and became a role model in the society. To celebrate and appreciate such unsung heroes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports, Government of India in partnership with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair organised a grand ceremony on 22nd of this October.

I extend my warm greetings to all Islanders on the occasion of Bhai Phota and Bhai Dooj.

This festival not only strengthens the bond of brotherhood but also plays a significant role in creating a cordial atmosphere in the society.
