Port Blair, May 12: ‘Island Music Festival’ will begin on 21st May, 2022 at Corbyn's Cove. In the day time, patriotic singing competition would be organized for walk in tourists at Cellular Jail on Saturday by Art & Culture Department. The event would include live singing and dance competition followed by live band and dance by professional groups.

Contestants can create a video of their performance (solo singing/dancing, group singing/dancing, singing along with an instrument like guitar, instrument playing, or any other form of performing arts), upload the same on YouTube and send the link to email id This email address is being protected from spambots. Contestants are encouraged to sing peppy/happy songs that go well with the mood of the beach and festival.

Port Blair, May 12: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,78,497 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,460 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,043 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 22179.

Port Blair, May 12: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 464 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 10 flights with 1385 passengers arrived, out of which, 1204 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 267 passengers and the reports are awaited.
