Port Blair, July 22: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kala Kendra – A&N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture, A&N Administration is conducting various programmes to celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence. In this series, a Photography Competition on the theme “Heritage through Lens” was organized in the month of April 2021 as part of these event.

Port Blair, July 22: Shri Vishal Jolly, Former State President, BJP A & N Islands has demanded filling up of all vacant posts under the A & N Administration and granting General age relaxations of one & a half years while filling up of every vacant posts. In a letter addressed to Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A & N Islands and Chief Secretary, A & N Administration Jolly pointed out following important, reasonable & justified issue which require immediate intervention and need to be addressed appropriately on behalf of the public at large.

Port Blair, July 20: The District Magistrate, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS through an Order No. 900 has extended the Lockdown being imposed in the District. This week, more relaxation in timings (from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm) comes as great relief to the people of the district. The Order will come into effect from 21st July 2021 for a week upto 27th July 2021.

Chennai, July 22: U.S. Consulate General Chennai will begin a #DiasporaDiplomacy series by organizing a virtual conversation with Indian American Aerospace Engineer Dr. Swati Mohan on Wednesday, July 28 at 7 p.m. Dr. Swati Mohan is the Guidance, Navigation, and Control Systems Engineering Group Supervisor at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). She led the Guidance, Navigation, and Controls Operations for NASA Mars 2020 mission.
