Port Blair, Jan. 3: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign, the IEC Van reached Dairy Farm area today. The Van attracted a varied audience of both locals and others. The van displayed videos that highlighted the core values of Viksit Bharat campaign, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in propelling India forward. The videos screened during the visit gave a comprehensive insight into Viksit Bharat's aspirations for a more prosperous and vibrant India sparking a sense of duty towards the nation's progress.

Port Blair, Jan. 3: The unutilized/surrendered tickets available from the reserved quota in the scheduled sailing of MV Swaraj Dweep for Vizag on 06.01.2024 will be issued to the general public from Jan.4, 2024 onwards. Passengers may book their tickets from DSS e-ticketing portal (https://dss.andaman.gov.in/eticketing) and from STARS Ticketing Counter between 9 am to 4 pm.

Port Blair, Jan 2: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has brought attention to the difficulties faced by residents of Andaman & Nicobar Islands when obtaining permissions to cross the convoy area between Middle Strait and Jirkatang, especially during late evening and night hours in case of a death in their family.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of A & N Islands, he highlighted the challenges families encounter when urgently needing to travel from North and Middle Andaman to South Andaman, or vice versa, during the convoy restrictions between Jirkatang and Middle Strait, particularly at late evening and night hours in case of any death in their family.
