Port Blair, July 5: In yet another prompt action against bootleggers and illegal sale of liquor, South Andaman District Special Police team arrested one person in excise raid conducted on 02nd July, 2020 and seized 223 bottles of IMFL.

20 MWp Solar Power Plant with Battery Commissioned on 30th June at Attampahad and Dollygunj

Port Blair, July 5: Ministry of New and Renewable sources of Energy, MNRE has allocated 47.5 MWp capacity of Solar power plants at various locations in A & N islands under the program - , GREENING OF THE ISLANDS. As a partial fulfillment of this program, NLC India Ltd., a Navratna enterprise of Govt. of India was entrusted with the establishment of 20 MWp Solar power plant at Attampahad and Dollygunj. The total project cost is around Rs.130. 77 Crores of which 40% viability gap funding has been provided by MNRE .

Port Blair, July 5: Keeping its commitment of tough action against illegal activities, the staff of PS Central Crime Station under the supervision of SHO, PS CCS, carried out special raids in South Andaman on 02/07/2020 & 03/07/2020 and recovered 236 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquors (IMFL). In this connection, altogether 04 persons namely T. Bhaskar  R/o Dairy Farm, Dipankar Biswas R/o Junglighat, G. Raja R/o Bathu Basti & Sanjeet Kirtonia R/o New Wandoor were arrested and 04 cases under excise Regulations have been registered against them. The raids were supervised by Dy.SP (CID) under the overall supervision of SP(CID).
