Port Blair, Sept. 14: The Health Ministry has planned a nation-wide, mega voluntary blood donation drive called Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav on September 17 on the occasion of Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday, with the aim to collect one lakh units of blood. The drive will continue for 15 days till October 1, which marks the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (NVBDD).

Port Blair, Sept. 14: Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India noted as the world’s largest health assurance program under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI. This scheme was launched on 23rd September, 2018 with an aim to provide cashless treatment worth Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization expenses. PMJAY Card issued to the eligible beneficiaries empowers the beneficiary to avail treatment in empanelled Public and Private Hospitals across the country.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: It is a moment of pride for the A&N Administration, as Miss Techa hailing from the Andamanese tribal community became the first from her tribe to have successfully cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) (UG)-2022. To encourage and congratulate Ms Techa for her outstanding achievement, the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS today felicitated her for the glorious success. Kuldeep Rai Sharma.
