New Delhi/ Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 14: The imposition of President’s Rule in Manipur underlines the utter bankruptcy of the BJP double engine government under whose rule the state has been in violent turmoil for two years. President’s Rule has been imposed not in the interests of Manipur but to buy time to settle the internal conflicts within the ruling coalition. The Chief Minister, the main culprit, who was backed all along by the BJP-RSS was forced to resign because his partisan role was being examined by a court where evidence was presented of his sectarian partisan role which left him with no choice but to quit.

Car Nicobar, Feb. 14: The XXVI Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2024-25 is currently underway at the BJR Stadium in Tamaloo, Car Nicobar. On 14th February, 2025, thrilling matches captivated the audience, setting the stage for even more exciting encounters in the days ahead.
The chief guest for the 1st Quarter Final match was Dr. Johnson Sameer, Medical Superintendent of BJR Hospital Car Nicobar. One of the standout matches saw A&N Command face off against Car Nicobar. The match ended in a goalless draw with a 0-0 score line, and despite a tense extra time period (7 minutes) where the score remained 0-0, A&N Command emerged victorious in the tie-breaker, winning 3-2. With this victory, A&N Command secured their place in the next stage of the tournament.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 14: The Department of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T) has resumed the Sound and Light Show at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep (NSCB) from 13th February, 2025. This show is held daily at 5.30 pm. Tickets are available online through the Department of IP&T’s Official website. Visitors have been requested to arrive at Phoenix Bay Jetty by 3.30 pm, as the Ferry will depart at 4 pm. Two-way ferry tickets can be purchased on-site at embarkation terminal.

The programme to be presented include description about the Planet- Mars & Jupiter. The visitors shall be provided with a sky map of the sky over Sri Vijaya Puram for locating planets and other celestial bodies. The visitor can have the opportunity of viewing the Planet- Mars & Jupiter through powerful telescope.

New Delhi, Feb 13: Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands met Shri Ram Mohan Naidu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation and requested him to introduce a direct flight between Sri Vijayapuram (Port Blair) and Madurai to enhance connectivity and ease travel for residents of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, particularly those from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
