Diglipur, Sept. 7: On 07/09/2023 credible information was received from reliable source that a person namely Shri Sanjib Halder, R/o Sardar Tikrey, Subashgram Ward No.6 has kept huge quantity of Red meat, (Venison) in his house at Sardar Tikrey, Subashgram Ward No.6. Upon this, a team of PS Diglipur consisting Insp. K.Binoj, SHO, PS Diglipur, PCs Aboobuckar Siddique, Samresh Mistry, Radhesham Hawlader and Soma Dey rushed to the suspected area and noticed that a person carrying a weighty bag in his hand and shifting the same to nearby hen hut from his house.

Port Blair, Sept. 7: Prayas JAC in association with social entrepreneur Mr. K.Vijay Kumar had arranged a series of events at the District Jail in the past weeks. Today a Carrom competition was organised for the inmates of the jail. Prizes were distributed to all participants. In order to encourage gardening, 15 fruit bearing saplings were also donated.

Port Blair, Sept. 7: The National Council of Science Museum, Kolkata (NCSM) has partnered with NCERT, Ministry of Education, GoI and Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) to conduct the mega event Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2023-24 for school students of class VI to XI. This talent search examination will be held on 29th October, 2023 and 30th October, 2023 in 12 major regional Indian languages (Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia, Malayalam, Assamese, Sanskrit, Urdu) along with English, Hindi. It is designed to be carried out using digital devices (App based) such as Mobile Phone, Tablet, Laptop/Desktop etc. This 90 minutes open book examination can be attempted by the students on any of the above exam dates between 10 am and 6 pm either from their school or from their home. The topper students will then participate in the next level of examination at State and thereafter at national levels consisting of Application Oriented Multiple Choice Questions, Hands-On Activities, Observation and Analysis, Situational Problem Solving Ability and a series of other activities.
