Port Blair, Dec. 28: A team of Doctors (Ayurveda) and Para Medical Staff of Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), a unit of CCRAS under Ministry of AYUSH, Port Blair will be conduct free Ayurveda Health Camp and Survey at Chuckchucha village of Car Nicobar Island from Dec. 28, 2022 to Jan. 11, 2023.

Port Blair, Dec. 28: Firing practice by Indian Army will be carried out at Nariyal Bageecha , Brichgunj on Dec. 30 & 31,2022 from 3 pm to 5 pm. Safe flying height is above 300 mtr AMSL. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their vessels/fishing boat away from the firing range during the above mentioned date and time.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands & Vice-Chairman Islands Development Agency, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) today led the Islanders in paying homage to those who lost their lives in the devastating Tsunami of 2004.

INTER ISLAND SECTOR:

Nalanda will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 31.12.2022 (Sat) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 02.01.2023 (Mon) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry. Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 29.12.2022 (Thu) onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters.

MV Bharat Seema will sail for Car Nicobar via Little Andaman on 06.01.2023 (Fri) at 0700 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 07.01.2023 (Sat) at 1600 Hrs from Car Nicobar via Little Andaman. Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 04.01.2023 (Wed) onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: The CPI (M) has demanded to shift the crocodiles from all residential areas of A&N Islands to the Crocodile sanctuary. 

In a letter sent to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Shri D. Ayyappan, State Secretary of CPI (M) has demanded that a policy decision may be taken not to release the hatchlings/ baby crocodiles in the nearby areas of human inhabitation henceforth. He drew the attention of the Lt. Governor to the incident occurred at New Manglutan recently in which a person was killed by the crocodile while fishing in the creek near his house. Ayyappan along with other leaders visited the residence of the victim on 25th December 2022 morning and spoke to his family members, relatives and villagers assembled there.
