Shri M. Vinod, State Vice President and State Media Convenor, BJP has deeply mourned the demise of Shri Lekhram, Fine Arts Teacher, VKV, Lamba Line and Resident of Birdline who breathed his last today evening.

Shri M Vinod prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, Oct. 9: On the basis of a report received from Intelligence agency, regarding suspicious anti-national activities of contractual staff enagaged at jetty area, a case has been registered at PS Central Crime Station, CID under the Official Secret Act, 1923.

On investigation, it was revealed that a contractual staff namely Abhishek Kumar Gupta R/o Deoria Distt., U.P engaged by an out sourcing agency had joined NSRY during the month of March, 2023 and had shared sensitive information through Whatsapp & instagram.

Port Blair, Oct. 9: It was observed that the Berthing Jetty of Yeratta was tilted approximately 20 cm towards the sea and therefore it was directed that the Jetty is currently unsafe for berthing of vessels. Considering the safety of passengers and vessels, the Port Management Board (PMB) was forced to suspend the operation of vessels from Yeratta Jetty so as to prevent any untoward incident.

Port Blair, Oct. 9: The one-week compulsory training course on Coastal and Marine Biodiversity of Island Ecosystem for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officers got underway on 9th October 2023 at TSG Grand. The training is being organized by Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. 

Port Blair, Oct. 9: In continuation to the Ayushman Bhavah Campaign, the District Administration through its District Health Society, South Andaman under Health Mission is conducting two days Reproductive Child Health (RCH) Camp at Little Andaman in coordination with Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Science (ANIIMS) & Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration. This RCH Camp which began today at PHC Hutbay will also be held at PHC R.K. Pur tomorrow (Oct.10). Shri Casper James, Tehsildar, Little Andaman inaugurated the camp in the presence of Dr. Rajni Tiwari, Chief Medical Officer I/c, PHC Hutbay, Shri B. Nagendra, District Programme Manager, District Health Society (SA) along with the Special Doctor’s team of ANIIMS consisting of Dr. Reema Dakua, Deptt. of Pediatrics, Dr. Nazma Sathik, Deptt. of OBG, Dr. Rohith. J, Deptt. of Surgery and other doctors & paramedical staff.
