Port Blair, April 17: CPI (M) Port Blair City Area Committee has organized a Mass Demonstration today (17.04.2023) evening in front of the office of the Port Blair Municipal Council at Aberdeen Bazar to protest against the indiscriminate curtailment in the water supply to the residents of Port Blair town and rural South Andaman areas. 

Port Blair, April 17: Fit India Movement was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister with an aim to take the nation on a path of fitness and wellness, encouraging people to include physical activities in their day to day lives. As part of the movement, A&N Fire Service organized Yoga session at Fire Service HQ on 17/4/2023 for personnel of all units of Police department and general public to make the fit India movement a great success in addition to spread fire safety awareness measures. 

Mr Rakeshwar Lall, State President and all members of Hindu Rashtra Shakti have deeply mourned the untimely demises of Mr Shyam Murthy, R/o Brichgunj, Forest Department at 1655 hrs on 17.04.2023 at GB Pant hospital, Port Blair.

Port Blair, April 17: A blood donation camp was organised at Hotel Lemon Tree, Port Blair jointly by Andaman Association of Tour Operators and hotel Lemon Tree on the occasion of World Hemophilia day. A total of 41 donors voluntarily donated blood during the camp and 10 more donors registered for future donation.

Communist Party of India (Marxist), Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee condole the demise of Shri Jappu P. John, Wharf Superintendent of Port Management Board and resident of Garacharma today (17.04.2023) at 10.00 a.m. at PHC, Garacharma. He was 59 years and left behind his wife and two sons.  Funeral procession will begin from his residence at Garacharma (Opposite Maruti Workshop) at 10 a.m. on 18th April, 2023.  CPI (M) conveys its heartfelt condolence to the family members of late Jappu P John.
