Port Blair, Nov. 22: The online link for submission of entrance application form for B.Ed, Ph.D and Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) of Indira Gandhi national Open University (IGNOU) has been opened. The entrance test towards admission for B.Sc.Nursing (PB), B.Ed. & Ph.D. Programme for January 2023 session is scheduled on 8th January, 2023. The eligible candidates may visit IGNOU website- www.ignou.ac.in  for online submission of the entrance application form. Port Blair, Nov. 22: Under skill development initiatives, the Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration will be organizing 3 month’s short term training. Interested applicants unemployed youth / SHGs and other needy persons may apply their candidature in the prescribed format with necessary documents. The application form can be obtained from the Development Section of the Directorate of Industries. The training for various trades like basic carpentry and wooden handicraft; cane & bamboo handicrafts and general engineering (basic welding, spray painting, smithy & sheet metal will be conducted at Directorate of Industries, Port Blair for a period of three months. Application form has been issued today and the last date for receipt of application is Dec.12, 2022.  The date of commencement of training is Dec.15, 2022.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: As part of observance of World AIDS Day 2022, the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society organized an inter-school painting competition at JNRM today. 67 students from 31 school of Port Blair zones actively participated in the competition. The first prize was bagged by Shreya Lall from VKV Port Blair, while the second prize went to J. Dinesh of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School and third prize was bagged by K. Eekshita from Navy Children School, Minnie Bay.  

Port Blair, Nov. 22: Vasectomy fortnight is being observed from 21st November to 4th December, 2022, by the Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration in association with Union Territory Health Mission, A&N Islands along with the rest of the country.

Car Nicobar, Nov. 22: A team consisting of doctor and para medical staff (Ayurveda) of Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), a unit of CCRAS under Ministry of AYUSH, Port Blair will be conducting a free Ayurveda Health Camp and Survey at Kinmai and Chuckchucha villages of Car Nicobar from Nov. 23 to Dec. 2.
