Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Disaster Management), A&N Administration requested the residents of ANI to follow do's and don’ts on Hot Weather Condition. Here are some do's and don'ts to help you stay safe during Hot Weather Condition:

Port Blair, April 6: Under Skill Development initiatives, the Directorate of Industries, A & N Administration has commenced a 3 months short term training from April 1, 2023 in various trades like Basic Carpentry, Wooden Handicrafts, Cane & Bamboo and Coconut Shell Handicrafts and General Engineering (Basic welding, spray painting, smithy & sheet metal) at Directorate of Industries, Middle Point.

Port Blair, April 6: The unutilized/surrendered tickets if any available from the reserved quota in the scheduled sailing of MV Campbell Bay for Kolkata via Mayabunder on April 10, 2023 will be issued to the general public on April 8, 2023 between 1000 hrs & 1200 hrs at STARS Ticketing Counters on first come first serve basis.

Port Blair, April 6: The District Magistrate, South Andaman has notified for the information of all concerned that for bituminous work, the road from SH-12 to Dundas Point Jetty road at (158 mts) via Mithakhari Jetty, sluice gate and Animal Husbandry colony (Length 3.628 Km) will be closed for vehicular movement from April 7 to 12, 2023.

Port Blair, April 5: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor to construct a new Dharamshala in place of the current one with necessary amenities for the residents of North & Middle Andaman and Nicobar District.

Highlighting the current state of the Dharamshala near the Swimming Pool of Netaji Stadium in Port Blair City, the Member of Parliament today wrote a letter to the Lt. Governor wherein he mentioned that the Dharamshala was built several decades ago to provide affordable accommodation for people of the inter-island who need to visit Port Blair for various works related to health, official works, education, and transit during mainland visits.
