Port Blair, Sept. 12: As per the claims and objections, the revised Answer Keys of the Question Paper for the posts of Assistant Manager, News Reporters & Artist/Designer under Directorate of IP&T have been uploaded in the A&N Administration’s portal https://erecruitment.andaman.gov.in and https://erecruitment.andaman.gov.in/crap/.

Port Blair, Sept. 12: The Directorate of Education will conduct Trade/ Skill Test for the post of Craft Instructor (Tailoring & Embroidery) and Craft Instructor (Music-Vocal or Instrumental) on 14th & 15th Sept., 2023 respectively at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair. The test will commence at the venue as per the pre-announced schedule.

All the candidates whose names appear in the list uploaded on the official website of Education Department https://edurec.andaman.gov.in have been directed to appear for Trade/Skill test as per scheduled date, time and venue without fail. Failure to appear in the trade/skill test will lead to automatic termination of candidature of the candidate from the recruitment for the concerned post.

Campbell Bay, Sept. 11: On 10 Sep 23, Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters at Campbell Bay coordinated the rescue of stranded fishing boat ‘Bhaskar III’ (IND-AN-SA-MM-2018). The boat with nine crew had left Port Blair for fishing on 25 Aug 23 and was operating near Little Nicobar when it became incapacitated on 08 Sep 23, as its propeller shaft got damaged in rough seas. As a result, the IFB started drifting in the open sea without sufficient food and water.

Port Blair, Sept. 11: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 07.09.2023 called on the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and highlighted three important issues before him. The issues taken up by the Member of Parliament includes:

1) Timely Salary Disbursement for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers:

During the meeting he informed the Chief Secretary that hundreds of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan teachers, working under the Directorate of Education on a contract basis for many years, have not received their salaries for the past three months, from June to August. “This distressing delay in salary disbursement has caused immense hardship for them and their families,” he added.
