INTER ISLAND SECTOR:

Nalanda will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 31.12.2022 (Sat) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 02.01.2023 (Mon) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry. Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 29.12.2022 (Thu) onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters.

MV Bharat Seema will sail for Car Nicobar via Little Andaman on 06.01.2023 (Fri) at 0700 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 07.01.2023 (Sat) at 1600 Hrs from Car Nicobar via Little Andaman. Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 04.01.2023 (Wed) onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands & Vice-Chairman Islands Development Agency, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) today led the Islanders in paying homage to those who lost their lives in the devastating Tsunami of 2004. 

Port Blair, Dec. 26: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee paid tributes to the Tsunami victims on 26th December 2022 at ANTCC Headquarter Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair who lost their lives in the earthquake and Tsunami on 26th Dec 2004.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: The CPI (M) has demanded to shift the crocodiles from all residential areas of A&N Islands to the Crocodile sanctuary. 

In a letter sent to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Shri D. Ayyappan, State Secretary of CPI (M) has demanded that a policy decision may be taken not to release the hatchlings/ baby crocodiles in the nearby areas of human inhabitation henceforth. He drew the attention of the Lt. Governor to the incident occurred at New Manglutan recently in which a person was killed by the crocodile while fishing in the creek near his house. Ayyappan along with other leaders visited the residence of the victim on 25th December 2022 morning and spoke to his family members, relatives and villagers assembled there.

Diglipur, Dec 26: “Jagriti” an awareness programme on the POCSO Act, Drug Abuse with special focus on carrier guidance to school students of class IX to XII was organized on 23/12/2022 by North & Middle Andaman District Police in association with Sub-Divisional Legal Service Committee, N&M Andaman at school auditorium of VKZPV Diglipur. Hon’ble Additional District & Sessions Judge, Mayabunder Shri Jimut Bahan Biswas was the Chief Guest and Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, Superintendent of Police, N&MA District was the guest of honour.
