Port Blair, May 15: In a major development, team of PS Crime & Economic Offence have arrested seven people after seizure of 508.36 grams of Methamphetamine. During the follow-up financial investigation, another person, David Johnson S/o Shri J. Paron (25) yrs., Pvt. Worker R/o Near Lalta Ground Lillipur, Haddo has been arrested on 14/05/2024 for funding the purchase of Methamphetamine. Further investigation is under progress. The entire operation was conducted under the command of Dy.SP (CID) and overall supervision of Shri Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, SP (CID).

Port Blair, May 15: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress President, Mr. Rangalal Halder has emphasized the urgent need for the implementation of a regular Ship Services between Port Blair and Rangat.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary (Shipping), A & N Administration, Halder highlighted the challenges faced by the passengers traveling between these two locations, the lack of a consistent and efficient mode of transportation between the Islands have hindered connectivity and accessibility of the residents.
