Port Blair, July 19: Thunder storms, lightning & gusty wind (speed 40-50 kmph) is likely occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on July 20 & 21.  Heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on July 22 & 23. Due to strong monsoon current wind speed exceeding 45 kmph likely prevail over Andaman Sea and neighborhood. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till July 21.

Port Blair, July 19: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep which sailed from Vizag is expected to arrive at Port Blair on 20.07.2023 at 6 pm. She has on board 524 passengers. On arrival at Port Blair, the vessel will be berthed at Haddo Wharf and passengers will be disembarked immediately.

Port Blair, July 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the new integrated terminal building or NITB of the Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Tuesday.

Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union minister of state for road, transport and highways and civil aviation, general (retd) VK Singh and senior officials attended the ceremony.

During the interaction, Kuldeep Rai Sharma emphasized the immense benefits that would arise from operating international flights from VSI Airport Port Blair, including job creation, economic growth and a significant boost to the tourism industry in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
