Port Blair, Mar. 21:  During the RT-PCR test conducted on 106passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 21 flights with 3447passengers arrived, out of which, 2989passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 364 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, March 20: As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) the cyclone ASANI is likely to intensify into a deep depression and cyclonic storm on 21st March 2022. The District Administration along with all line departments is working 24 x 7 to mitigate the impacts of the impending cyclone.

Port Blair, March 20: The Indian Metrological Department has issued weather warning stating that heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds are likely to occur in and around A & N Islands from March 19 to 22. The situation persists and yet to be improved.

Port Blair, March 20: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to issue necessary directions to the Electricity Department to solve the low voltage and power fluctuation problems of Kadamtala and Baratang regions. 

Port Blair, March 20: Due to cyclonic alert, the Directorate of Shipping Services keeping in view the safety of the passengers and vessel has postponed the scheduled sailing of MV Campbell Bay from Vishakhapatnam to Port Blair on March 20, 2022. Now, the vessel will sail for Port Blair on March 22, 2022 at 1600 hrs from Vishakhapatnam.
