Port Blair, June 17: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuildeep Rai Sharma has requested the Director of State Transport, A&N Administration to resume the Express Bus service of STS between Port Blair and Nimbudera and vice versa. The bus service in the route was suspended owing to COVID-19 pandemic since 19th March, 2020, which is yet to be resumed. Due to the suspension of the bus service, the villagers residing around the four Gram Panchayats of Shivapuram, Swadesh Nagar, Harinagar and Basanthipur having a population of 20 (twenty) thousand are facing difficulties.

New Delhi, June 16: The U.S. Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has donated a first shipment of 100 brand-new, state-of-the-art ventilators to India to assist its fight against COVID-19. This donation is part of President Trump’s generous offer of critical supplies in response to India’s urgent needs.
