Port Blair, April 25: The Rotary Club of Port Blair and Rotary Club Port Blair NextGen conducted a Inter School Quiz ‘Sanskriti 2022’ on 23rd April 2022 at Mahatma Gandhi International School, Brookshabad. The quiz was conducted in association with INTACH Andaman & Nicobar Chapter. 

Port Blair, April 25: The sudden rise in power demand in the islands has created a severe paucity of power demand in Port Blair and adjoining areas of South Andaman. A detailed demand side management has been prepared by the Electricity Department to ensure optimal utilization of available power. In pursuance of the same this detailed directions are being issued.  All consumers have share in the demand generated for power consumption. To minimize & optimize such demand the following have been solicited:

Port Blair, April 25: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 256 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 16 flights with 2516 passengers arrived, out of which, 2247 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 207passengers and the reports are awaited. 

Port Blair, April 25: To mark the ‘Manav Ekta Diwas’, a blood donation camp was organised Sant Nirankari Bhawan, branch Chouldari on 24th April 2022. The camp was also to commemorate Baba Gurbachan Singh’s Death Anniversary.

Port Blair, April 25: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,72,391 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,420 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 11,353 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 18,398.
