Port Blair, March 2: The District Administration, North & Middle Andaman in collaboration with District Health Society, (N&MA) will be organizing a cycle rally for women –Cyclathon on 5th March, 2023 at 7 am from Danapur Junction to Netaji Sports Complex, Mayabunder on the theme ‘Healthy Women, Healthy India’. The rally is being organized to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of citizens and to encourage environment friendly conveyance. Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages from young children to adults. It is also fun, cheap and good for the environment. All women have been requested to participate and make the event a grand success.

Port Blair, March 2: The Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst the Youth, is organizing cultural programmes under the umbrella of ‘Shruti Amrut’ as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ across the country. ‘Shruti Amrut’ festival is a minimum of 02 days long festival with Indian Classical Music and dance and Folk art forms from across the Country.

Port Blair, March 2: Verification of Certificate of Educational Qualification of all those who had applied for panel of Transmission Casual Assignee (Hindi, Bangla, Malayalam, Nicobari, Tamil & Telugu), Hindi Comperes (Kisanvani, Mahila Jagat, Bal Jagat & Hindi Yuvavani) will be held in the office building of All India Radio, Port Blair on 04th March 2023 (Saturday). Verification of Certificates of Transmission Casual Assignee (Hindi, Bangla, Malayalam, Nicobari, Tamil & Telugu) will be held from 9am to 1pm and that of Casual Comperes (Kisanvani, Mahila Jagat, Bal Jagat & Hindi Yuvavani) will be from 2pm to 4pm.

Port Blair, March 2: The written recruitment examination for filling up the posts of Planning Assistant, Assistant (Arch. Dept.), Draughtsman Gr-III (Civil), Architectural Assistant, Draughtsman Gr-III (E&M) and Surveyor in APWD were held on 18/02/2023 & 19/02/2023 at Port Blair.

Port Blair, March 2: In the recent past, landslides have occurred in some parts of ANI due to underground water pressure, rainfall in monsoon season, earthquake, human intrusion etc. which causes damage to infrastructures, blockage of roads, loss of properties & environment. To safeguard people against such disasters, the Director (Disaster Management), A&N Administration, Dr. Nitin Shakya has requested the residents of ANI to follow the Do's and Don’ts during landslides to save themselves and their properties.
