Port Blair, Feb. 27: A Mini RCH (Reproductive and Child Health) Camp will be conducted under RCH programme by Union Territory Health Mission (UTHM) in association with Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration and ANIIMS on 29th February, 2024 from 9.30 am onwards at Mannarghat. Gynaecologist, Paediatrician and Dental Surgeon will be providing their services in this camp. The needy patients have been requested to avail the opportunity.

Car Nicobar, Feb 26: The Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, Mrs. Jyoti Kumari, IAS visited Car Nicobar progressive famer’s field demonstrated by KrishiVigyan Kendra (CIARI) Nicobar in the evening of 24th Feb 2024. The DC appreciated the IFS model demonstrated at Mr. Leslei Field of Tamallo Village, especially the water harvesting structure, pineapple, brinjal cultivation, etc. and also appreciated Mr. Patrick Jeremiah of Tapoiming Village for advanced vegetable farming; especially Deep Verti Grow (hydroponic system) and low cost polyhouse. She explained how important it is where soil is unsuitable for cultivation. The DC appreciated Mr. Jackson, a 32-year-old from Tapoiming community, for his scientific efforts in pig and poultry farming. She advised him to maintain a high morale and set an example for the youth of the nearby community.

Port Blair, Feb. 26: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, today inaugurated a Community Hall at Mile Tilak, constructed by Zilla Parishad South Andaman. The Chief Secretary unveiled the plaque in the presence of the Adhyaksh, ZPSA, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Up-Adhyaksh, Shri Boominathan, CEO, ZPSA, Ms. Smitha R, PRI members and villagers of the area marking the inauguration of the Community Hall.

Port Blair, Feb 26: On 24th Feb 2024, an UDFIR No. 14/24 U/s 174 CrPC was registered at PS Pahargaon upon the recovery of a dead body of a person namely Sushil Kido, S/o Paulus Kido, 34 years, R/o Khadiapada, Karammunda, Ralakhandi, Sundargarh, Odisha now at Brichgunj SL Quarry, who was also a worker of SL Quarry and has been missing since 18th Feb 2024.

During the PME of the deceased, it was opined y the Doctor that the deceased has suffered fatal injuries die to suffering hit from a solid object causing serious injuries to his left forehead and lower right chest, due to which the deceased might have died.
