INTER ISLAND SECTOR:

MV Kalighat will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 07.05.2022 (Sat) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 09.05.2022 (Mon) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via same route.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 07.05.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc. 

On the auspicious occasion of "Id-ul-Fitr", I extend my warm and best wishes to all the residents of A&N Islands.

Port Blair, May 2: Thunder storm and lightening with gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 Kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 3rd and 4th May 2022. This is likely to be followed by heavy rain (7-11 cm) over one or two places in the Nicobar Islands and thunder storm & lightening with wind speed of 40-50 Kmph over Andaman & Nicobar.

Port Blair, May 2: Shri Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has requested the Lieutenant Governor, to provide necessary compensation for damage of residential house due to tree fall at Shoalbay.

He stated that, the residential house of Smti. Merian, W/o Raj Mohan, R/o Shoalbay No.8 under Ferrargunj Tehsil was totally damaged due to fall of big tree. The said family lost their only home and now are in grave problems.
