National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on July 1 every year to mark the birthday of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was a world renowned physician, freedom fighter, and a politician who held the post of chief minister of West Bengal.
In the present day, the National Doctor's Day gains more significance as doctors continue to fight the Covid pandemic day and night.

Port Blair, June 30: During the RTPCR conducted on 177 incoming flight passengers, who arrived here yesterday, ten positive cases have been detected. Today, 12 flights with 1864 passengers arrived, out of which, 1632 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 180 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, June 30: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,83,708 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,583 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years and 13,301 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 years. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 27,459.

Port Blair, June 29: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today inaugurated a CC Road with one culvert at Brindaban Panchayat, constructed under the MPLAD fund.
The project costing about Rs. 8,07,670 had commenced on 16.11.2021 and was completed on 15.01.2022.
