Port Blair, Nov. 8 Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP has demanded for restarting issuance of ship tickets of Inter-Island as well as Mainland Sectors through Common Services Centers throughout A&N Islands in a letter addressed to Chief Secretary, A&N Administration.

In his letter Jolly wrote that a public welfare service was initiated previously by the A&N Administration for issuance of ship tickets through Common Services Centers (CSC) of our Islands and these services, people from every Islands and every corner were conveniently purchasing the ship tickets for both sectors, without stepping into the limited ticket counters set up by Directorate of Shipping Services.

Port Blair, Nov. 8: The Seminar on “Substance Use” was organized by ISMAT (Islanders Social Movement for Awareness and Training) – a women’s initiative, on 5th November 2022 at JNRM Auditorium, Port Blair to release the Survey Report on “A Study of Substance Use among School and College Students in Port Blair”. Around 180 Students from JNRM, Andaman Law College and TGCE participated in the Seminar.

Port Blair, Nov. 8: The State Institute of Education, Port Blair will be conducting the NMMSS Examination in A&N Islands on 17th December, 2022 under the guidance of Ministry of Education (MoE). The selection test/ examination will be conducted to select students presently studying in Class VIII for award of Scholarship under the centrally sponsored scheme ‘National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme’ (NMMSS) for the academic session 2022-2023.

Port Blair, Nov. 8: The MPL 35th National Under-13 Boys & Girls Chess Championships–2022 will be held from 10th to 18th December 2022 in Puducherry. Each Affiliated State Association is entitled to send two entries each from Boys & Girls for the Championship. The players who are born on or after 1.1.2009 are eligible to participate in the Championship.

Port Blair, Nov. 8: The Election Commission of India has ordered a Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll – 2023 with reference to 01.01.2023 as the age qualifying date. The Summary Revision for Parliamentary Electoral Roll will commence from Nov.9, 2022 with the publication of Draft Electoral Roll -2023.
