Port Blair, Oct. 5: The Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 4th Oct. 2023 conducted an awareness programme on Health & Hygiene for the girl students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Port Blair. The awareness programme was led by Smti Zubaida Begum as the Convener.

Port Blair, Oct. 5: The NSUI State President, A& N Islands Mr. M.A Sajid has wrote a letter to the Principal of JNRM and mentioned his concern on behalf of the students faced due to the closure of existing entry gate for the past several years, the college Students, faculty and staffs lead inconvenience and congestion while moving around from the campus.

Taking into consideration, the opening of JNRM College entry gate will enhance accessibility to the students and Teaching Staff to reach at new blocks of JNRM.

Port Blair, Oct. 5: The International Coordination Group for the India Ocean Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (ICG/IOTWS) of UNESCO in coordination with Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, Hyderabad (INCOIS) has conducted Indian Ocean Wave Tsunami Communication Exercise (IOWave23) on 04th Oct, 2023 in India.All Emergency Support Functionaries (Police, Fire, Health, Electricity, Shipping, PBMC, PMB, APWD, Civil Supply, IP&T etc.) Emergency Operation Centers, District Administrations, A&N Command, NDRF and other Stakeholders of A&N Administration were participated in this exercise.

Port Blair, Oct. 5: National Conference on Spices, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants for Economic Prosperity and Ecological Sustainability-2023 organized by Andaman Science Association (ASA), Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands in collaboration with Directorate of Arecanut and Spices Development (DASD), Kerala from October 5th to 6th,2023 in hybrid mode was inaugurated today at ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Oct. 5: A two days training programme on ‘Awareness for control, elimination and eradication of vector borne diseases such as Dengue, Chikungunya, Malaria, Lymphatic Filaria etc., and related vectors in Andaman was conducted for the 3rd year Zoology students of JNRM on Oct.3&4. The training program was conducted by Integrated Diseases Surveillance Programme (IDSP) DHS.
