Port Blair, Aug. 26: World Coconut Day is celebrated every year on 2nd September across the world. The day is celebrated to highlight and raise awareness about the importance and benefits of coconut. Coconuts have multiple benefits and are one of the most versatile fruit. This day is celebrated every year in A&N Islands too. Like every year, this year also, the World Coconut Day will be celebrated by Agriculture Department in South Andaman.

Port Blair, Aug. 26: The Science Centre, Goodwill Estate, Corbyn’s Cove Road will be organizing a ‘Bubble Show’ on 27th & 28th August, 2022 at 6.10 pm. This is a fun filled show specially designed for all age group to enjoy with their kids. During the programme, the demonstrator shall prepare varieties of bubbles right from Tiny Bubble to Giant Bubble, Children’s most favorite Doraemon Bubble to the Cubic Bubble, Caterpillar Bubble, Fire Bubble & many more.

Port Blair, Aug. 26: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,96,226 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,941 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 135 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,26,746.
