Port Blair, Jan 18: On the third day of Police Raising Week, a blood donation camp was organized by A&N Police at Police Training School (PTS), Prothrapur in which around 100 police personnel and around 20 civilians voluntarily donated blood. Senior Police officers namely Sh. Shivendra Kant Tewari, IPS, SP (AP) and Dy.SP Manoj Kumar Meena, among others donated blood. The COVID-19 protocols were strictly complied with while collecting blood. The medical team from Blood Bank led by Dr. Shahina Mustaquim, Directorate of Health Service made arrangement for collection of blood donated by Police.

Port Blair, Jan 18: As part of our Raising Week celebrations, a bike rally was organised in which Police staff, village heads and local populace participated in large number. The objective of bike rally was to spread awareness about traffic rules, POCSO Act and ill effects of alcohol and drugs.

Port Blair, Jan 17: With the inaugural speech of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 16th Jan 2021 at 10.30 am, the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination was launched in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands along with the rest of the country. The launch function at Port Blair was attended by Dr V Candavelou, Commissioner & Secretary (Health), Shri R.N Sharma, Secretary (H)/MD UTHM, Shri Suneel Anchipakka, DC, South Andaman District, Dr Omkar Singh, DHS, Dr A.K Mondal Director, ANIIMS and other officials of A&N Administration. The Director of Helath Services and Director of ANIIMS were also present during the launch.

Kalaivanan, IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police, was held at Parade ground, Police Lines, today, to celebrate the Raising Day of Andaman Nicobar Police. Shri Satyendra Garg, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands took the salute at the Ceremonial Parade.
