Port Blair, May 15: The ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has demanded to provide regular electricity and water supply in the region of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder highlighted the issues being faced due to the problem of Load Shedding of Electricity and the Crises of Water Scarcity in A&N Islands.

On the Foundation Day of State of Sikkim on 16.05.2023, I extend my warm greetings to the people of Sikkim residing in these Islands. Sikkim is known for its vibrant culture and is blessed with magnificent landscapes and rich flora & fauna.

It was on 16th May, 1975 that Sikkim was recognized as the 22nd State of India Union. There are not many people of Sikkim origin residing in the Islands. However, tourists from Sikkim do visit the Islands and many Islanders, visit Sikkim and return charmed by its clean environment, roads and very cordial people.

Port Blair, May 12: The result of All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination 2022-2023 (Class XII) was announced today. As per the results downloaded from the website of CBSE, out of 6297 students who appeared in class XII from the Government and Private Schools in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 5254   students have passed and 630 students have been placed in compartment. The overall pass percentage of A & N Islands stood at 83.44 %.
