Port Blair, May 18: In order to address the long pending demand of the residents of Dugong Creek, an Onge Settlement village in Little Andaman 24x7 power supply, the Electricity Department has taken necessary steps for augmentation of power supply in this Tribal village having a population of around 40 families residing in 20 shelters.

Port Blair, May 18: Ministry of Commerce& Industry, Govt. of India have notified National Logistics Policy vide notification No SO 4575(E) dated 28.09.2022. In line with the National Logistics Policy, the Directorate of Industries, A & N Administration has formulated draft A & N Islands Logistics Policy, 2023. The draft A & N Logistics Policy can be downloaded from the State Portal of Andaman & Nicobar Administration https://www.andaman.gov.in.

ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker has condoled the sad demise of Shri. P. Abdul Salam, Age 53, H/o Smt. Baby Farida, R/o Dignabad who passed away on Thursday.

Halder and Bhasker have conveyed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved members of his family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, May 18: The vessel Nalanda which sailed from Chennai is expected to arrive at Port Blair on May 19 at 0500 hrs. She has on board 458 passengers. On arrival, the vessel will be berthed at Haddo Wharf and passengers will be disembarked immediately.

Port Blair, May 17: Regarding the ongoing recruitment drive being conducted by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration for the filling of posts under Group B and Group C, the Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to instruct the concerned department, not to schedule exams for different posts on the same day.
