Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 25: The Directorate of Health Services, in collaboration with the Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) organized a Multi-Specialty Health Camp for the Andamanese Tribe on September 23, 2024. This initiative took place onboard the newly inaugurated hospital ship, MV Shompen, which was officially launched by the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS on September 20, 2024.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 25: Shri Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, held a Sampark Sabha at the Drill Hall, Police Lines, to engage with Police officers and personnel stationed throughout the Islands. The session saw direct participation of over 400 Police personnel stationed in South Andaman District and personnel posted in all units and Police Stations in North & Middle Andaman and Nicobar Districts participated virtually.

Girish Kumar, SHO PS C&EO, SI Parvash, Head Constable Sanjay Kujur, Constable K. Rajendran and Y. Srinivas Rao of PS C&EO conducted raid at Opposite Hotel Diviyum Manor at Parking Area, Lambaline, Sri. Vijaya Puram and seized 3.780 kgs of Marijuana from the possession of one Alip Goldar S/o Shri. Raj Kumar Goldar (36) yrs, Pvt. Electrician R/o Sayer Bazaar, Kolkata, West Bengal and he was arrested on the spot following due procedure.

Chidiyatapu, Sept. 25: As part of the World Tourism Day celebrations, the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), in collaboration with Andaman Avians Club, successfully conducted a birdwatching tour to the Chidiyatapu Biological Park. The tour, held on 25th September 2024, was organicsed for 30 students from Andaman College (ANCOL) and 20 members of AATO with the aim of promoting eco-tourism and creating awareness about Andaman's rich biodiversity.
