Port Blair, April 16: The A&N Administration had released a Press Release in the Daily Telegram dated 09.04.2023 regarding the Skills Test (Tier-II & III) Computer Based Typewriting Speed Test and Shorthand test to fill up the 465 vacancies of LGC/LDC and 41 vacancies of Stenographer (OG) based on the scores/merit shared by Staff Selection Commission, New Delhi, wherein the candidates were advised to download their Admit Cards from the website www.karmic.andaman.gov.in and http://Is.and.nic.in:8080/home on or after 15.04.2023 onwards.

Port Blair, April 16: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators will be organising a heritage walk on 18th April 23 as a part of World Heritage day. The walk would start from Cellular Jail at 3.30 pm on 18 Apr and terminate at flag point. Approximately 60 students from JNRM & DBRAIT and 20 AATO members will take part in the walk.

Port Blair, April 16: The Directorate of Education will be organizing the XXII State School Games & 7th State level competition for CWSN from 17th to 21st April, 2023 at Netaji Stadium. Approximately 990 participants and 250 Officials from all over the Union Territory are expected to participate in the Mega event. Shri Nikhil Kumar, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Education/ Sports), A&N Administration will be the Chief Guest during the Opening Ceremony on 17th April at 4 pm and also lit the Sports & Games Torch on 17th April  at 9 am from Secretariat.  The closing ceremony will be on 21st April at 3.30 pm.

Port Blair, April 16: The Department of Disaster Management under the guidance of Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Disaster Management), A&N Administration, regularly conducts various disaster preparedness programmes in different Departments and institutions of this UT. In continuation to this, a sensitization programme was organized for the Students of 2nd Year (MBBS) of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) on Disaster Management & Preparedness recently at the Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration.

Port Blair, April 16: The District Legal Services Authority, A&N Islands organized a Legal Awareness Camp at Manpur, village Panchayat Hall, South Andaman today on the topic ‘Domestic Violence Act, 498A IPC, Family Disputes and Offense under different Acts against women’ and POCSO Act with the active participation of the local PRI members and villagers. Approximately, 50 people attended the camp. The Legal Awareness Camp was graced by Shri. Anupam Mukherjee, Ld. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA, A&N Islands alongwith Shri. Debarghya Biswas, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate, South Andaman-cum-Secretary, DLSA, A&N Islands, Shri. Sumit Kumar Karmakar, Ld. Public Prosecutor and Ms. A S. Zinu, Ld. Public Prosecutor.
