Port Blair, Nov. 9: As part of publication of Integrated Draft Electoral Roll-2023 and to reach out to people at large, a Walkathon on the theme ‘A Step for Participative Elections’ was flagged off by the Chief Electoral Officer, A&N Islands, Shri Binay Bhushan, IAS from National Memorial Cellular Jail this morning in the presence of Jt. Chief Electoral Officer, ANI, Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Electoral Registration Officer, ANI, Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS and Dy. Chief Electoral Officer, ANI, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS and a large number of general public, BLOs and election related Officers participated in the event. The rally culminated at Flag Point.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: The Department Related Parliamentary Committee on Industry is arriving on a two visit to A&N Islands tomorrow (Nov. 10). Soon after the arrival, the Committee will proceed to Swaraj Dweep. During their stay there, the Committee Members will hold meeting with the Chief Secretary, A&N Islands and M/o MSME on implementation of PMEGP scheme in A&N Islands at Taj Exotica on Nov. 11.

CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee deeply mourn the demise of Shri K. Vamadevan, retired Headmaster of Education Department, Andaman & Nicobar Administration at his hometown Kollam in Kerala on 8th November, 2022.  He was 93 years. 

Port Blair, Nov. 9: The Chief Electoral Officer, A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency, Shri Binay Bhushan held a meeting with representatives of recognized Political Parties of A&N Islands regarding the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll-2023 in the conference hall of Secretariat this evening. The Joint CEO, Shri Hari Kallikkat, Electoral Registration Officer, Shri Ankit Yadav, Dy. CEO, Shri Dilkhush Meena, Electoral related Officers were also present during the meeting while the AEROs of outer stations joined the meeting through video conference.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: Firing practice will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard at Chinthe Range Brichgunj on Nov. 16 and Nov. 23 from 9.30 am to 5 pm. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their livestock away from the firing area.
