Port Blair, June 27: With reference to the Vacancy notice Vide No. MT/18-7/Estt./Recruitment/2023 published by Transport Department for filling up of Group-B (NG) posts in Transport, Police & Shipping Departments of A&N Administration, the written test of qualified candidates in Physical Measurement and Endurance Test will be held at Port Blair, A&N Islands on 30.06.2023. The list of eligible candidates for written test for the post of Sub-Inspector (PMT) will be uploaded on A&N Police website and also displayed on the notice board of PHQ, Port Blair on June 28.

Port Blair, June 26: In a strong show of solidarity against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, organized a massive rally on the occasion of the International Day against Drug and Illicit Trafficking. The event saw an impressive turnout of individuals from various sections of society, including women, children, NCC cadets, NGOs, and political organizations.

Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman Nicobar Islands has deeply mourned the sad demise of M M Syed Hussain (34 years) Forest Guard, S/o Shri S.M. Abdul Kader R/o Mayabunder who passed away on 26.06.2023 at Swaraj Dweep.  He prayed to the Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
