Demands to Start Such FM Transmitters in all Remote Islands of ANI

Port Blair, April 28: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has expressed gratitude towards the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and also towards the Prime Minister of India for opening FM transmitters at Car Nicobar and Swaraj Dweep Islands today along with 89 other such FM transmitters across India.

He said that the move to boost FM radio connectivity in border regions and aspirational districts across the country is a commendable step.

Hon’ble Lt Govenor congratulated and highlighted the many benefits of the new FM station to the Islanders.

Port Blair, April 28: The general public have been informed that Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will address the citizens of India through his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on April 30. In this episode, the Hon'ble Prime Minister will reach out to the fishermen, fish farmer, beneficiary under PMMSY in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program through video conferencing. In this endeavour, the Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration will be organizing a programme at Fish Landing Center, Guptapara on April 30, 2023 from 10 am to 12.30 pm for screening of Prime Minister’s special ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Program.
