Port Blair, May 24: A Central Team comprising of Central Nodal Officer, Shri Vikas Anand, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, GoI and Technical Officer, Smt. Ritu Kumari Oraon, Scientist- 'C', Central Ground Water Board are on a three day’s visit to Andaman & Nicobar Islands for review of Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA)-Catch the Rain 2023 Campaign under National Water Mission.

Port Blair, May 24: On the request of Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA), the All India Chess Federation(AICF) decided to give few seats to aspirants from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to participate in the Online Senior National Arbiter Seminar that is being held for Indians staying abroad (for Indian Diaspora) on 26-27 May 2023 through Zoom Platform.

Port Blair, May 24: The NSUI State President Mr. M.A Sajid has highlighted the issue of increasing drug menace in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

In a letter addressed to the Director General of Police, A&N Islands, Mr. Sajid said that from the past few years drug racket has increased in our Islands and drugs are entering our Islands through medium of Ships and Flights which are the only means of transportation.
