Port Blair, Dec. 1: A mock drill on disaster preparedness was conducted in the premises of VKZPV, Port Mout yesterday under the supervision of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) team. The drill was monitored by a team of 18 Disaster Management Experts of IRBn and four trained teachers of VKZPV. The students and staff actively participated in the drill. IRBn Inspector, Shri Yogesh Kumar while speaking lauded the Disaster Management team members of various categories for carrying out the drill efficiently.

Port Blair, Dec. 1: As per Indian Meteorological Department’s weather forecast, heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Dec. 4 & 5. In anticipation of formation of low pressure area, fisherman of Andaman & Nicobar coasts have been advised not to venture into the sea from Dec. 4 till further notice.

Port Blair, Dec. 1: As part of Navy Day Celebration, the Indian Navy will be organizing a Band Concert at Marina Park on Dec. 4 at 1715 hrs. Prior commencement of the concert, the naval ships will be illuminated off Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island. The concert is open for all visitors.
