Port Blair, March 30:  During the RT-PCR test conducted on 43 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 6 flights with 583 passengers arrived, out of which, 492 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 76 passengers and the reports are awaited.

On 27th March, 2022, CITU organized a public meeting at Tiranga Park, Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair in support of the Strike.

Port Blair, March 29: In an effort to make PBMC the # 1 ranked Municipal Body, the Secretary PBMC, Shri. G.Sudhakar today inspected ward 9 and ward 14.

As part of nationwide commencement of “Swachchta Survekshan 2022” Port Blair Municipal Council has geared upto continue to improve its national ranking. Secretary, PBMC conducted a surprise inspection in ward 9 and 14 in the early morning today and visited surrounding areas of vegetable market, Junglighat and Private Truck Stand directed Sanitary Division to clear the waste immediately from these areas. He further continued on to Fish Landing centre in Ward 14 and directed Sanitary Officer to clear accumulated waste there and along the Sea Shore Stretch from Fish Landing Centre to Tirupati Temple Area.

Port Blair, March 29: In a boost for Congress Party, its candidates have emerged victorious in the polls of Pramukh and Up-Pramukh in Rangat Tehsil.

Rangat Samiti Member Mrs. Sita Majhi was elected as Pramukh while Sundergarh Samiti Member Mr. Vijay Mondal was elected as Up-Pramukh.
