Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to issue necessary direction to the concerned authorities to make immediate arrangement for sailing of boat from Diglipur to Port Blair. The sailing is to transport medically referred patients including cases of serious labour for pregnant women who are stranded in Diglipur due to non-availability of boat. 

Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Kesariya Hindu Vahini, Andaman State Unit has completed the program on online free consultancy service on the topic of COVID 19. The event was volunteered by Dr Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health) / Nodal Officer (COVID 19) who cleared the queries received from the islanders through WhatsApp and emails on COVID-19. Dr Roy also dwelt on the issues related to COVID 19 viz.  post treatment of COVID-19, exercise, diet and symptom before COVID etc. Special invitee was Shri Mandeep Grewal, President, Guru Ki Rasoi.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Indian Red Cross Society, A&N Branch, Port Blair distributed washable cotton cloth masks and mysore sandal soaps to Orphanages and Child Care Homes in Port Blair and South Andaman area. Dr. R.Thulasi Dasan, Hon. General Secretary and other supporting staff of IRCS, A&N Branch handed over all together 240 washable cotton cloth mask and 200 mysore sandal soaps for the inmates through the In-Charges of Pranab Kanya Sangha, AIR Road, Port Blair, Abhydaya complex (Children’s Home, Old Age Home, Home for Divyang), Ferrargunj, Seva Niketan, Dairy farm, Love Children’s Home, Indira Nagar, Manglutan and Calvary Children’s Home, Port Mout, South Andaman on 16th, 18th & 25th September 2020 respectively.

On 24/09/20, a written report has been received from Shri M. Yogeshwar Rao S/o Late M Nilkantal (58)yrs R/o Malai Bijan Haddo regarding missing of his son namely M. Ravi S/o Shri. M. Yogeshwar Rao (34)yrs R/o Malai Bijan Haddo, who is missing since June 2020. He searched him at nearby locality and also enquired from the relatives and his friends but all in vain. The descriptive role of missing person is height 5.6’’, colour shallow, built skinny and round face. Based on the complaint, a missing report has been registered at PS Chatham. Intensive search is in progress. Hence, it is requested that if any information about the missing persons is found/noticed, it may be informed to PS Chatham on 03192232232/9531933152.
