Port Blair, Nov. 21: It’s a matter of pride for A&N Islands, especially for the tribal community of Nicobar group of Islands that for the first time ever, the traditional virgin coconut oil prepared organically by the tribal community has been recognized and launched at a grand function at New Delhi. The virgin coconut oil was launched by Shri Arjun Munda, Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs during the inaugural function of the National Tribal Festival at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi on 16th Nov. 2021. This is the first ever tribal product from the islands to be launched in a large scale at New Delhi.

The success of IGNOU in reaching the ‘unreached’ sections of India is a great achievement in higher education of our Country.  The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been accorded A++ grade by NAAC.

Port Blair, Nov. 21: FHRAI (Federation of Hotels & Restaurants of India) the APEX BODY for Hospitality in India through its Eastern Command HRAEI (Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India) to which Andaman & Nicobar Islands belongs has appointed Shri Tanveer Singh (MD Symphony Resorts and President YCCI) as a Special Invitee to the Management Committee of HRAEI for the year 2021-22.
