Port Blair, March 12: The APWD Karmachari Sangh (AKS) an affiliated service association of Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh (ANRKM), BMS has approached authorities to regularise their service who were rendering for last 10- 20 years in the department as DRM benefiited with 1/30th and as DRM for the development of entire Union Territory.

Port Blair, Mar. 12: All those APL beneficiaries who have not seeded their Aadhaar number in their respective ration cards have been informed that the time period for seeding of Aadhaar number has been extended till 16th March, 2023. Hence, all such APL ration card holders who have not yet seeded their Aadhaar may get their Aadhaar number seeded before 16th March failing which the unseeded members shall be consider bogus & the ration card to which such members are attached will be deactivated.

Port Blair, March 12: The Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology is implementing Young Scientist Fellowship scheme for Young Scientist & Technologist (SYST) engaging Young Researchers towards Socio-Economic Development and Sustainable Development Goals. The Young Scientist Fellowship scheme provides opportunities to young scientists for pursuing existing and innovative research. The scheme is focused on young scientist and technologists who have adequate background and training in the field of Science & Technology and encourage academic institutions, national labs and other S&T institutions to avail the benefit under this scheme.

Port Blair, Mar. 10: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri. Keshav Chandra, IAS on second day of his tour to Middle Andaman visited Long Island and Strait Island today. On arrival at the Long Island Jetty, he was received by the Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Shri. B Kamaraju, PRI members and Officials of A & N Administration. Soon after arrival, the Chief Secretary visited PHC Long Island wherein the DHS and the Medical Officer briefed the Chief Secretary about the facilities available in the PHC and the number of patients visiting the PHC on daily basis. Responding to a demand from the Pradhan, the Chief Secretary stated that the request for providing the services of a Lab Technician will be looked into. He also appreciated the Health Officials for better upkeep of the PHC and praised the doctor and the supporting staff for rendering better health services in this remote part of the Island.
