Car Nicobar, Feb 28: Usha International Limited through its implementing partner Tribal Development Council launched 15 Silai School at Car Nicobar with the cooperation of Tribal Council Car Nicobar from 17/02/2023 to 27/02/2023 at Community Hall Chukchucha Village, Car Nicobar. The training was imparted to 15 tribal women beneficiaries representing one each from the villages of Car Nicobar Island.

Port Blair, Feb 28: The Department of Home Science, JNRM, in association with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India organised a One Day Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse Prevention and “NUKKAD NATAK” for Community in Tushnabad Gram Panchayat on 25th February 2023. The Chief Guest Shri. Rajender Lal, BDO & Executive Magistrate, Ferrargunj inaugurated the programme.

Port Blair, Feb 28: With the blessings of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita, on the occasion of 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, around 1.5 lakh volunteers of Nirankari Mission participated in ‘Project Amrit’ in 1100 places across the country in 730 cities, 27 states and union territories.
Amrit project was organized under the divine direction of Nirankari Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj by Sant Nirankari Mission, New Delhi, inspired by the teachings of the then Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. This event was also organized in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the reservoir of Joda kalan, Sippighat, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Feb 28: As part of the celebration of National Science Day, a befitting programme was organized by the Science Centre today in its campus. The Day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect by an eminent Scientist, Sir CV Raman. The theme for this year's celebration was 'Global Science for Global wellbeing'. The Secretary Science & Technology/ Vice Chairman, Science Centre, A&N Administration, Shri Aman Gupta, IAS was the chief guest on the occasion. The Secretary, Executive Council, Science Centre, Dr. Utpal Sharma, students and parents were also present on the occasion.
