Port Blair, April 5: The inaugural function of the 3 days National Conference on Veer Savarkar’s role in Freedom Struggle, Socio – Political philosophy and abiding legacy is being organised from 5th to 7th April, 2022 by Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana, New Delhi. The conference was inaugurated today in the Auditorium of DBRAIT, Port Blair.

Port Blair, April 5: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,11,211 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,373 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 10,060 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 11,563.

Port Blair, April 5:  During the RT-PCR test conducted on 227 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. During RAT conducted on 22 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Mohanpura Bus Terminus, test was conducted on 21 passengers, no positive case has been detected.  At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 31 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. At helipad, 8 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected.

Port Blair, April 4: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has once again highlighted the unemployment problem of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in Parliament.

Raising the issue again during the Budget Session of Parliament today, Kudeep said that on 14th December 2021 the Andaman & Nicobar Administration issued an order to fill up all vacant posts in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
