Port Blair, Aug. 12: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,94,555 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23923 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 707 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 170384.

Port Blair, Aug. 12: One covid positive case has been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 10 flights with 1717 passengers arrived, out of which, 1513 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 148 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, Aug 11: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has taken up the issue of non-payment of salary to the employees and workers of Andaman Labour Force, Port Management Board with the Secretary of Shipping Services.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary Shipping, the Member of Parliament, who is also the President of General Employees Union, Andaman Labour Force mentioned that the Employees and Workers of Andaman Labour Force, Port Management Board have not yet received the salary for the month of July 2022.

MV Campbell Bay will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 18.08.2022 (Thu) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 20.08.2022 (Sat) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 18.08.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, Aug 11: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma visited a large number of places in Port Blair and South Andaman and participated in the Raksha Bandhan programme.
