Port Blair, July 15: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today inaugurated an Anganwadi Center Building at Old Pahargaon area of Port Blair. The Building was constructed under MPLADS fund at the cost of Rs. 33,10,642.

Port Blair, July 15: With the launch of “Each One Plant One” campaign by the A & N Administration, the Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs has kick-started the plantation drive across the UT in collaboration with Department of Environment & forest for mass mobilization in the rural areas.

Port Blair, July 15: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,84,328 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,596 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 24,743 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 29436.

Port Blair, July 15: Fifteen positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 12 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 8 flights with 1187 passengers arrived, out of which, 1104 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 122 passengers and the reports are awaited.
