India Tourism Joins with Associations to Promote Lesser-Known Tourism Destination – Jolly Buoy Island

Wandoor, March 15: India Tourism, Sri Vijaya Puram, under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, organized a special promotional program titled “Promotion of Lesser-Known Tourism Destination – Jolly Buoy Island.” The program was conducted in collaboration with the Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association (ANTOA), Tourist vehicles Owners Association (TVOA), and Wandoor Tourist Boat Owners Association (WTBOA)

The promotional visit to Jolly Buoy Island witnessed the participation of around 60 members representing various tourism stakeholders of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The initiative aimed to highlight the natural beauty and tourism potential of Jolly Buoy Island and to strengthen its visibility among domestic and international tourists.

The program was attended by Shri N. Velmurugan, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Shri Simson, President of ANTOA, Shri Selvam, President of TVOA, Shri Ankit Kumar Tripathi, ML Maheshwari, Boat Owner representative, and Dr. Guruswamy along with other tourism stakeholders and association members.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri N. Velmurugan emphasized that Jolly Buoy Island is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Andaman Islands, known for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and pristine environment. He highlighted that effective marketing and branding of the island are extremely important to promote it as a premier eco-tourism destination.

He further stated that the Ministry of Tourism and India Tourism are committed to supporting all possible efforts to promote Jolly Buoy Island and other lesser-known destinations of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands to attract more visitors and strengthen the local tourism economy.

The program concluded with appreciation for the active participation of tourism stakeholders and a shared commitment to work together in promoting Jolly Buoy Island as one of the best tourist destinations in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
