Inter-Island Vessel Operations at Katchal Port Suspended Due to Inclement Weather Conditions

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 26: The passengers and the general public have been informed that due to prevailing inclement weather condition, the operation of Inter Island vessels Nalanda and Sindhu at Katchal Port has become increasingly difficult and is considered unsafe. To ensure the safety of both the vessels and passengers, vessel operations at Katchal Port will not be available. However, the vessels will resume calling at Katchal Port as soon as weather conditions improve and it is safe to operate.

Consequently, the scheduled voyage of Nalanda to Campbell Bay on 27.05.2025 at 0900 hrs from Sri Vijaya Puram via Nancowry & Katchal, along with her return voyage on 29.05.2025 at 0600 hrs from Campbell Bay via the same route, will not call at Katchal Port.

As per the revised schedule, Nalanda will now sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 27.05.2025 at 0900 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Sri Vijaya Puram on 29.05.2025 at 0800 hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry. For the movement of passengers/cargo bound for Katchal, necessary connectivity will be arranged at Nancowry Island.
